The incentive credit you earn can help pay for music trips, private music lessons, instrument repairs, solo/ensemble fees, or summer music camps. What Is Scrip?Scrip is a term that means “substitute money”. When you purchase scrip, you’re purchasing negotiable gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash. You can use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, you earn revenue for our organization.How scrip generates revenue for you The Great Lakes Scrip Center acts on behalf of churches, schools and other nonprofit organizations to purchase large amounts of scrip from grocery stores, department stores, and other retailers. Because the scrip is purchased with cash up front, the participating retailers offer a substantial discount. WLN Music Boosters buys the scrip from Great Lakes Scrip Center at a discount, and re-sells the certificates to families like yours for full face value. The discount from two to fifteen percent or more – is our organization’s revenue. One half of this discount is retained by WLN Music Boosters, and the other half is placed in your student(s)’ individual incentive account. Organization members produce revenue by making regular household purchases they would make anyway. Walled Lake Northern Music Boosters is pleased to introduce a new extension to the Great Lakes Scrip experience. You will now be able to place your own orders on-line at your convenience by using www.shopwithscrip.com. You will need to register your family on the registration page which can be done by simply using your E-mail address and our Enrollment Code for Walled Lake Northern Music Boosters (see below). You will only need to register once, and then you will be able to log onto your personal account by using your E-mail and password. If you place your order on the website by 9 pm on Sunday you will be guaranteed to receive your order the following Thursday, provided there are no backorders from Great Lakes Scrip. We request that you pick up any orders placed on-line that following Thursday for accounting purposes. The Scrip table will be in the WLN commons area, every Thursday, between 6 pm and 7 pm. We do request prepayment on orders placed over $500. Payment arrangements can be made by E-mailing Sally Campbell at wlnorthernscrip@aol.com. Kroger Makes it Even Easier to Earn Money for the Music Boosters!Learn how Kroger is now contributing a percentage back to WLNMB from purchases made using your Kroger Plus Card. Music Boosters will then split these earnings 50/50 with your student's Incentive Account. You just need to go to www.krogercommunityrewards.com to register your Kroger Plus card and to learn more information on this program and how it works. Our Organization name is WALLED LAKE NORTHERN MUSIC BOOSTERS and our NPO # is 82903 for registration. In order to receive proper credit for your Kroger Plus card purchases, the Music Boosters needs a list of all registered Kroger Plus cardholders names. These cards may include family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, etc. Please fill out a Student Information Sheet with these names listed at the bottom.Purchase a reloadable Hiller's Scrip Card for $5.00 at our Scrip table on Thursdays between 6 and 7 pm in the WLN commons area. "Load" additional money to that card at any Hiller's register or customer service desk using cash or credit card. WLNMB earns 3% of all money loaded onto your card, which is then split 50/50 with your student's Incentive Account.
